If you wish to be a trader please be advised of the following conditions:
All Traders should have their own insurance & they, by signing the booking form agree to
indemnify both Australian Event Management & the hall or facilities owners or stakeholders from any claims or losses arising from the Traders activities. All traders must comply with the applicable laws relating to their industry and must abide by all state and federal laws in relation to the sale of goods and services. In particular they understand that piracy and circumvention is illegal. All traders must comply with the Copyright Act of 1968. They by the Act are not permitted to sell or offer for sale pirate or grey market copies. They should also comply with the classifications Act 1995, which states that all films, games or publications must have an Australian Classification unless otherwise exempt by the definition of the Act. Any trader in breach of any law or Act of parliament could face arrest and prosecution by relevant authorities. Australian Event Management has no powers of arrest with exception that is allowed under the Crimes Act 1914, however there is no hesitation in calling the relevant authorities if instructed to do so by members of the public or other traders. Any trader found convicted of any crime arising from the market will be banned forthwith.
Any trader found to be engaging in deceptive or mis-leading conduct will also be banned from operating at events hosted by Australian Event Management (AEM). Any trader found to be operating as or with a competing event company will also be banned and asked to refrain from attending events hosted by AEM. Any trader looking to hawk or canvass other traders for the purposes of spruiking other markets or events will also be banned from attending the venue.
